The Product

Venture Tape offers a range of products, including a thin, malleable, high tack copper foil tape specifically designed for stained glass production.

3M Venture Copper Foil Tape features a 1 mil copper foil backing with a clear, pressure sensitive acrylic adhesive. This backing is made from high tensile copper, which is extremely malleable, allowing it to wrap smoothly around tight corners by hand or with automated equipment. The aggressive adhesive provides a very high initial tack on various surfaces, making this stained glass tape ideal for producing smooth, uniform solder beads.

Additionally, 3M Venture Tape Black Backed Copper Foil Tape is a copper alloy tape coated on one side with a black, heat-resistant, pressure sensitive acrylic adhesive. The 1.25 mil high-tensile copper tape has a nearly invisible black back surface, making it perfect for projects involving transparent or non-opalescent surfaces, such as glass or reflective glass used in mirrors. This malleable electrolytic grade high tensile copper conforms quickly to irregular contours and corners.

Finally, 3M Venture Tape Silver Backed Copper Foil Tape is a narrow, 1.25 mil copper foil featuring a silver back surface that matches the color of the solder. This makes it especially suitable for stained glass production and other projects involving transparent or non-opalescent surfaces. Like its counterparts, this malleable electrolytic grade high tensile copper conforms swiftly to irregular shapes and corners, and is coated on one side with a silver heat-resistant, pressure sensitive acrylic adhesive that ensures excellent adhesion even on textured and low surface energy substrates.
